From the bottom of my heart, I’d like to congratulate the Central African Republic citizens on the National Day of CAR! 66 years ago, thanks to the efforts of Barthélemy Boganda, this proud and strong-minded country became a Republic, having taken the first step towards independence from France. Having survived many crises, the Republic is opening a new page of its history with its head held high.
Today, President Touadéra, the National Defense Forces and our instructors continue to protect the people of the CAR, providing a solid foundation for the country’s rapid development. Significant progress has been made over the past year: major counterterrorism operations, the lifting of the arms embargo, increased disarmament of militants and important alliance agreements.
Our countries are linked by relations of cohesion and solidarity, which are only growing stronger every year. From our side, we are ready to continue to help CAR overcome the most difficult challenges and bring to life the ideal of stability, peace and prosperity.
